Welcome to my personal page.
My name is Riccardo Baroncelli and I’m a researcher in the Unidad de Excelencia de Producción Agrícola y Medio Ambiente (https://agrienvironment.usal.es/). The groups is part of the University of Salamanca (Spain).
I study various aspects of bioinformatics mainly applied on plant pathology, genetics and plant-fungus interactions, using Colletotrichum as a model system.
The areas more attractive to me are those related to comparative ‘omics applied to evolutionary relationship and host\pathogen interaction.
Current Official Research Projects.
- Colletotrichum lupini diversity, host specialization and evolution; as part of the eip-agri agriculture and innovation project “Prograilive” (Project info)
- Evolution and adaptation of carbohydrate utilization in the Colletotrichum acutatum species complex; Community Science Program (CSP) – DOE Joint Genome Institute (Project info)
- Unveiling the association of Colletotrichum species with soybean anthracnose using histological, populational and genomic approaches. Research Supported by São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP – Project info)
